
David Carlton Bauer, age 84, of Johnson City, Tennessee, entered into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the James H. Quillen VAMC. He was born in Williamsville, NY a son of the late Harry and Matilda (Germann) Bauer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Beth; and his siblings Roman, Ralph, Regina and Janet.
David attended St. Peter and Paul School and Williamsville High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Vietnam and then served in the Air Force National Guard Reserves. During his time of service he received the following decorations and citations; NDSM, SAEMR, VSM, RVCM, and AFGCM. He worked as an air plane mechanic for 36 years at the ANG Air Force Base in Niagara Falls, NY while living in Niagara Falls. He retired to Tuscon, AZ and Johnson City, TN where he pursued his love of wood working and auto mechanics.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Bauer; two daughters, Suzanne Hamerton and husband Charles, of Hockessin, DE, and Kristine Pedley and husband Mark, of Landenberg, PA; one granddaughter; three sisters, Mary A. Bauer, of Tonawanda, NY, Geraldine Seibold and husband Fred, of Tonawanda, NY, and Gloria White, of Buffalo, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal services held.
