Donald Lee Mynes
January 26, 1954 – February 25, 2021
Donald Lee Mynes, Sr., age 67, of Roan Mountain, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Bernard Mynes and Louise McVay Mynes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Mynes.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Sexton; three daughters, Linda Arguelles, Benna Sexton, and Samantha Mynes; one son, Donald Mynes, Jr.; sixteen grandchildren, Guillermo, Angelica, Aviana, Chavelo, Nathen, Damien, Marshall, Serenity, Donald III, Gaige, Rylan, Kaisen, Adiana, Armani, Apollo, and Ariella; three great grandchildren, Cecilia, Nathen, and Chavelo Jr.; and two sisters, Ann Hagie and Bonnie Lainhart.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all family and friends for all the love and care that was shown.

There's so much I can say about my husband he was a great father great grandpa and he loved his kids more than anything like I told him before he passed away no one could ever fill his shoes nor will they when he passed away my heart died with him I love you for the rest of my life there will never be no one but you I miss you so much hun nothing will ever be the same

I'm so very sorry for your loss‼️ uncle Donnie has been around since I was 8 years old and now I'm a grandmother he was very close with my mother and fatherwe've had so many good times throughout the years uncle Donnie I can always remember you smiling and joking you were a great man and you are going to be truly missed‼️rest in peace Uncle Donnie tell my mom and my dad I said hi🙏

It’s a sad time for our family I am Bernard Leon mine his daughter which would be my uncle Donnie’s brother He will be truly missed I remember being younger always running over to my aunt Brenda and uncle Danny’s houses especially for the food because he was always barbecuing he loves to grill fish and hunt I’m in my father were very close and then when my father passed my uncle became sad which now they are both in heaven hunting and fishing together and also grilling he will truly be missed
