Elva Louise Harwood

Elva Louise Harwood, age 88, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Watauga, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Hubert Scott and Clara Edith ‘Sally” Shell Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold William Harwood; three sisters, Florence Hodge, Marjorie Hodge, and Grace Carty; and one brother, Roy D. Scott.

Louise was a homemaker and a member of Boones Creek Christian Church. She will always be remembered by her family with the saying, “Catch Ya Later.”

She is survived by one son, Keith Harwood and wife Karen; two daughters and son-in-laws, Janet Hickman and husband Robert and Marcia Jennings and husband Mike; four grandchildren, Matthew Hickman and wife Andie, Amanda Patrone and husband John, Jacob Jennings, and Olivia Jennings; two great grandchildren, Briggs Hickman and Bryce Hickman; one special niece, Donna Byington; and one sister-in-law, Doris Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

Committal Service and Interment will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 2:00PM in the Garden of the Gospels at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her family.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially Mary and the hospice team for all the love and care that was shown.
