James R. Powell, 89, of Johnson City, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. He was born on May 3, 1932 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Horace and Jessie Mae Powell. James served his country in the United States Air Force as a mechanic. After serving, he became an Over the Road driver until retiring at age 83.
