Judith Sharon Wilmoth, age 78, passed away on July 20, 2026. Born September 27, 1947, Sharon was a resident of Blountville, Tennessee. She will be remembered as a cherished presence—kind-hearted in the ways that mattered most, and thoughtful in the steady care she showed to those around her.
For many years, Sharon worked in retail and managed the shoe department at Kmart, serving customers and coworkers with quiet professionalism and consideration.
Sharon loved her family deeply. She took great joy in being a mother and grandmother, and she also delighted in being a grandmother to her grand dog, Boomer—holding close the everyday moments that made family life feel full and warm.
In her own time, Sharon found peace and beauty in flowers and gardening. Her affection for hibiscus, oakleaf hydrangea, and knockout roses reflected a gentle attentiveness to growing things, and she especially enjoyed bird watching—most of all the hummingbirds that brought color and motion to the day.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Irene May; and her brothers, Gary May (Barbara), Gerald May (Lois), and Randy May. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Wilmoth; her son, Eddie Nelson (April); her grandson, Connor Nelson; her brother, Bill May (Gladys); her brother, Richard May (Sandra); and many much loved nieces and nephews, good friends, and neighbors.
In accordance to Sharon's wishes, committal will be private at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, those inclined may donate to the American Alzheimer's Association.
