Kathy Ilene Kegley

Kathy Ilene Kegley, age 67, of Bristol, Tennessee passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 at NHC Healthcare of Johnson City, Tennessee. She was born in Coeburn, Virginia, a daughter of the late Emmett Fred Powers and Evelyn Proelex Powers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Emmett Powers and John Alfred Powers; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Walker and husband Joe.

Kathy was the biscuit maker at Bojangles in Bristol, Tennessee. She loved to read her Bible.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Irvin Kegley; four children, Toni Widener and husband Jamie, Jake Kegley and wife Laura, Joshua Kegley, and Matthew Kegley; eight grandchildren, Parker Moore, Kyleigh Moore, Lucas Widener, Addilyn Widener, Evelyn Widener, Kayson Widener, Raelyn Widener, and Deacon Polly; siblings, Judy Whiteneck and husband Richard, Shirley Eden and husband George, Nannie Powers and husband Frank, Tammy Hilliard and husband Joe, and Pam Goodson and husband Danny; two sisters-in-law, Rhonda Powers and Cathy Powers; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
