Monte Vista Funeral Home & Memorial Park

Peggy Carden, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was full of life, knew no stranger, and loved everyone.

She worked for 23 years as a bus driver for UETHSDA and was loved by all the students.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Mib Wishon, her son Terry Carden and brother Willie Wishon.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 54 years, Raymond Carden; son Sean Carden; brother, Rusty Wishon and wife Jan; sisters, Sylvia Kirk and Margie Story; grandchildren, Summer, Bailey, Jacob, and Josie Carden; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at University Parkway Church. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Rusty Wishon and Pastor Scott Thomas officiating.

Graveside services will follow at 3:00pm at Monte Vista Memorial Park in the Garden of the Sermon on the Mount.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Bristol Regional Medical Center for their care of Peggy.
