Terry Lee Crawford, age 79, of Piney Flats, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at his home. Terry was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for Diebold, Inc for 32 years as a technician.
He was born in Wilson County, Tennessee, a son of the late James Cowan Crawford and Mary Agnes Brewington Crawford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Brenda Crawford Terry.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl Wood Crawford; one daughter Elizabeth Crawford of the home and a step daughter and son in law Rebekah and Mike Dowling, and step granddaughter Cara Hensley all of Johnson City. Sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Ken Cummings of Smyrna TN, brother and sister in law, Bill and Gayle Crawford, of Nashville, TN: brother Jay Crawford of Lebanon, TN; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00 PM with his brother-in-law, Ken Cummings officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by members of the Shaw Air Force Honor Guard and Boone Dam VFW Post #4933. A private burial will be held at a later date at West End Cemetery, Wytheville, VA
