Virginia Louise Casteel, age 87, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Buck and Hattie Greer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Casteel; and one daughter, Diane Casteel.

Virginia was a member of Fountain of Life Bible Church. She loved the Lord and was a great Christian Lady. She worked 18 years as a machine operator for Leon Fernbach and 18 years as a housekeeper at Colonial Healthcare Center. She loved cats. Virginia will be remembered as a good and kind hearted person willing to help anyone in need.

She is survived by four children, Danny Casteel, Stephanie Whitehead, Monty Casteel and wife Norma, and Cindy Chesser; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Dawn of Hope, 500 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601.
