Willis Ricky O’Neal, age 66, formerly of Gulf Shores, Alabama and currently of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida a son of the late Jesse Randall O’Neal and Edith Estelle Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Randy O’Neal; and one nephew, Parker Chase.
He was a member of Jesus of Nazarene Church in Alabama. He had worked in construction and was an avid Alabama fan, loved the outdoors and collecting antique cars.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Carolyn McCracken; one daughter, Faith Simolke and husband Mike; one granddaughter, Camilla Simolke; one brother, Mike Cassebaum and girlfriend, Kelly Campbell; one sister and brother-in-law, Amanda Cassebaum-Chase and husband Michael; two nieces, Hudson Chase and Mallory Nicole Cassebaum-Schroeder and husband Whit; two great nieces, Estelle Gann and Helen Schroeder; and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. A Committal Service and Interment will follow at 11:00 AM in the Gethsemane Garden at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Adam Crabtree officiating.
The family would like to extend their thanks to nurse Joan on the 2nd floor at the Johnson City Medical Center for all the love and care that was shown.
