Barbara A. Disbennett

Barbara Annette Disbennett, 78, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away on June 6, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born February 20, 1947, to the late Owen D. and Betty A. Newell in Centerburg, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her mother and father. Barbara will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Barbara was a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, spending time with her grandkids, taking her walks, shopping and many more activities. She retired from OCA Consultants.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Walla S. Disbennett III married 56 years; her children, Walla D. (Jill) Disbennett, Colleen (Charles) Speigal and Kendra Haswell; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; her brothers, Rodney (Carolyn) Newell, Gary (Gloria) Newell; sisters, Judy Newell and Shirley Evans; In-laws, Jeannie (Eskham) Hayes, Danny (Becki) Disbennett and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring the family’s and Barbara’s wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Olive Green Church of Christ, 12800 Olive Green Road, Sunbury, Ohio 43074.
