Bill Paider

Bill was born on November 22nd 1954 in Huntington, Long Island New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur Paider (4/23/1998) and Joan Winifred (Erhard) Paider (5/21/2011). Survived by his loving spouse of 46 years, Patrice Annette (McCoy) Paider; children James M (Stacie) Smith Jr, Michael W (Katy) Paider, and Kevin P Paider; siblings Janet (Guy) Loomis, Cindy (Keith Carter) Paider, Joan (Dan) Orndorff, Nancy (Tom) Henterly, Susan Stauffer, John (Natalie) Paider, and Thomas (Tara) Paider; grandchildren Jacob Smith, Aubrey Paider, and Quinn Paider; numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends and neighbors.

Bill was a retired database administrator; lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4324; and a lifetime member and Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge #37.

Bill was an avid fisherman, boater, and gardener. He captained his own boat, the Reel McCoy, for over 30 years. He loved spending time with his family and spoiling them. He loved to plan and host large parties, featuring his wife’s cooking and fireworks for his friends and family. The night before he passed he hosted a large party where he could visit and be with family and friends. All of his siblings, many nieces and nephews, and many friends were there to celebrate a wonderful Fall feast and fireworks. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always made sure everyone close to him had a smile, even while battling cancer and even up to his final day, and would help anyone in need whenever he could.

Bill will be loved and missed by many, however he will never be forgotten.

Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Church of the Ascension, 555 S. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church with Father Stephen Smith officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Johnstown, OH.
