Bonnie Jean Spears, of Columbus, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Worthington Christian Village. She was born on May 27, 1930, in Indiana, a daughter to the late John and Bertha Lobsiger. Bonnie was a longtime member of the Johnstown Church of Christ and the Church of Christ Alexandria. She was part-owner of Maledies Pizza in Johnstown, Ohio and worked as a bank teller. Bonnie loved to sing. She was a member of the church choir and sang in a lady’s trio. Her faith and family were her legacy. Bonnie is survived by her son, Daniel (Karen); daughters-in-law, Evelyn and Lynn; grandchildren, James (Wendy), Jennifer (Daniel) Buzaleski, Timothy, Jacob (Jessica), Erin (Josh) Rollins, Nick (Alton Green), and Megan (Benjamin) Griffith; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, John (Jo) Lobsiger; nieces and nephews, Jerry (Cindy) Luke, Rick (Sara), Connie (Chad) Stapley, Tina Lobsiger, and Keri (Dave) Aeschliman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years LeRoy; her sons, James and Larry; daughter-in-law, Becky; granddaughter, Andrea; sister, Shirley Luke; brother, Jackie; and niece, Bonnie. Bonnie was a resident of Columbus, Ohio. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Church of Christ Alexandria, 5380 Moots Run Rd, Alexandria, Ohio 43001, on October 4, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm., with Pastor Kevin Hull officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
