On July 26, 2024, Clarence "Clay" Richard Smith, born December 21, 1973, went to be with our lord. He was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many throughout the United States and abroad. An avid motorcyclist, he perished doing what he loved.
He was always quick to help a friend or family out and never thought twice about it. Like his father, he was always wheeling and dealing and enjoyed working to get a good deal even when it seemed impossible.
Clarence, proudly served his country as a Sergeant, in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years, where he held many jobs, including the honor of being appointed for Marine Embassy duties in Africa and Russia.
Clarence was always "wrenching" on something whether it was the '67 Mustang, the '67 Ford van or his pet project, rebuilding a 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide for competition.
Clarence was baptized in 2015 and was strong in his faith. He served as a mentor to several "brothers" and "sisters" in the Celebrate Recovery system.
Clarence was preceded in death by his Father David R Smith, Paternal Grandfather, Clarence D. Smith, Paternal Grandmother, Erma B. Smith, Maternal Grandfather, Richard F. Adams, Maternal Grandmother, Pauline Adams, several other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and close friends. Clarence is survived by his Son, Jacob (Mariah) Smith, Mother, Deborah A. Adcock (Edward), Sister, Sherlene D. Smith (Dave Cervantes, Jr.), Granddaughters, Alice and Lyla Smith, Nephew, Bryce (Ashley) Krueger, Niece, Jacquelyn (Chris) Martano, Great Nephews, Emmett Martrano and Calvin Krueger, Great Niece, Abigail Martano, various aunts, uncles and cousins.
