

Colleen Kay Wells, 88, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Clay Gardens in Zanesville. She was born on January 19, 1937, in Akron, Ohio to the late Earl and Frances Moore. Colleen was the first in her family to graduate from college, earning herself an associate degree in physical therapist assistance from Columbus State. She loved having Bunco nights with her girls, crocheting, crafting, playing a game of Pacman, tending to her garden, going bowling, and most importantly she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Colleen is survived by her loving children, Jeff (Linda) Wells and Valerie (Cliff) Hughett; grandchildren, Jeff (Beccy), Janie, and Tim (Lisa) Wells, and David Hughett and Heather (Chris) Sheline; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents, Colleen is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Jack Wells; son, Matt Wells; and brother, Larry Moore. Family and friends may gather from 3:00-5:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 5:00pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm Monday, June 30, 2025, at Green Hill Cemetery in Johnstown.
