David Lee Scolnik, 68, of Johnstown, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born on March 2, 1957 in New York City, NY a son to the late Willard and Arlene (Atkinson) Scolnik. David was a chef, a musician, a pilot, a boat captain, a home developer, a restaurant owner, a radiology technologist, an actor, a good brother, great dad and a loving husband. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Marisol Scolnik; son, Michael George; siblings, Stuart (Betsy) Scolnik and Ellen Scolnik; nephews, Matthew Chaves and Ian (Annie) Chaves; brothers-in-law, Nestor (Susan) Chaves and Cesar Chaves; sister-in-law, Grace (Brett) Boden and mother-in-law, Lucy Chaves. Honoring David’s wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
