Dolores A. Hoovler, age 99, of Johnstown passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She attended Pataskala High School and retired from the Pataskala Banking Company. Preceded in death by parents Thomas and Rose Moritz, husband Donald I. Hoovler, daughter Sharon Brill, sisters Eleanor Butsko and Polly Huber, brother William Moritz, and step-granddaughter Gretchen Eyster. Survived by her brother David Moritz; children Donald “Skip” (Tammy) Hoovler and John (Kathleen) Hoovler; grandchildren Kim (Mark) Davis, Kristen Hoovler, Jennifer (John) Forren, Lisa Valentine (Scott Gramke), Amy Hoovler (Stephen Helwagen, Jr.) and Bret (Melissa) Hoovler; 14 great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Lindsey and all of his colleagues at Mt. Carmel East, and Dr. Ronald Vargo. Friends may call at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street, Johnstown, Ohio 43031 from 5-8pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. A funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Ascension, 555 South Main Street, Johnstown at 11am on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Dolores was such a wonderful lady. She always remembered me at Christmas and she was a true joy to talk to. Fr. Reichert always loved visiting her. I called her many times during the pandemic just to check on her. Our loss is certainly heaven’s gain.

Although I have known Delores for a long time, we became very close in the last couple of years! She was such a treasure and I loved spending time with her! She loved and adored her family and bragged on them every chance she got! We spent some quality time talking about the old days and reminiscing about simpler days!! She will be missed by her church family! I would play mass for her on my phone and she would sing along, it was beautiful to hear her sing again! Now she sings for Jesus, I loved her dearly!❤️
