Dorothy Eichner

Dorothy Ann Eichner, 79 of Johnstown, passed away on Sunday August 3, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at the Church of the Ascension in Johnstown, Ohio with interment to follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Johnstown.

Dorothy was born on September 12, 1934 to the late Earl and Rachel Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Eichner.

She is survived by her children Teresa Eichner, Richard “Bubby” (Robbi) Eichner, Elizabeth (John) Davis of Pataskala, Mark (Kathy) Eichner of Utica, Julie (Dave) Reeves, and David Eichner of Johnstown; grandchildren Amanda, Christopher, Sarah, Joshua, Amy, Jordan and Nate; great-grandchildren Emma, Matthew, Aiden, Jaimie, Makayla, Patrick, Jack, Grace, Anna, Ashton and Bailey. Her brother Bill Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a member of the Church of the Ascension where she sang in the choir, she also loved cats and writing poetry.

Friends may call at the Crouse Kauber Sammons Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street in Johnstown on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. An online memorial will be at www.cksammons.com. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Kidney Foundation, Hospice, or the Johnstown Food Pantry in her memory.
