Faith was a strong Kentucky woman who made her home in Ohio. Born in Lewis County, KY, her strength was only surpassed by her ability to love. She proudly graduated from Johnstown-Monroe High School and dedicated her life to her children and community. Late in her life, she dedicated her time and compassion to the Hartford Library where she worked as a librarian and oversaw the organization as President for long over a decade. She made it her mission to help ensure the students who got off the bus did their homework, had food, and ensured that their parents knew where they were. When she saw a need in Croton, she organized the Breadbasket so that day-old goods could be given to members of the community who were in need. She also set up fundraising activities like the Movie on the Square to help raise money to ensure the library was warm for the children in the winter and cool in the summer.
She was a force of compassion and love, often flanked by her beloved Dobermans. She was proceeded in death by her husband Larry, brother Tim Smith, and her parents Wanda Smith and Jim Smith. She is survived by her daughter Julie Miller (David) of Croton, grandson Emerson Miller, son Jamie Barker (Amber) of Denton, Texas, and Doberman Millie. She is also survived by her sister Joy Wonders and brother Larry Smith (Janet) and her dear friend Nancy, as well as many other friends, family, in-laws, and outlaws. To honor and celebrate her memory, the family asks that you wear polka dots to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Dude Charity.
