Harold was born at home on February 23, 1945, to the late Elza and Rena (Holiday) Ball.
Harold was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 for fifty years. He was also a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Tennessee and Christian Life Center in Heath, Ohio.
Harold is survived by his wife of 13 years, Penny Ball; son, Bryan Ball of Zanesville; daughter, Pam (Jon) Boesch of Johnstown; daughter Valerie (Tom Putnam) Ball of Portsmouth; son, Brad Ball of Newark; bonus daughters, Amy (Eric) Holyak of Newark; Kimberly (John) Wilson of Heath. 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Jennifer, Brandon, Jill, Amy, Amanda, Joshua; 7 bonus grandchildren, Mia (Blake), Josalyn (Logan), Nathaniel, Elijah (Haley), Preston, Carson, Lydia; several great grandchildren; sister, Carol McClary; his life long best friend, Charles McClary Sr; several nieces and nephews-especially Terri, Kim, Cheryl, Rita and Rena who were always checking in on him and whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Elaine Ball; four sisters and 7 brothers; daughter in law, Debbie Ball.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 10am at Christian Life Center 665 Linnville Rd. Heath, OH with Pastor Bo Westmoreland, Rev. Michael Ensey, Bishop T.L. Kirk and Rev. Chuck McClary officiating. The family will receive friends and family on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 6pm-8pm at the church.
