Harold was born in Wagoner, North Carolina on March 11, 1916 to the late James and Nora Bare. He passed away on Wednesday September 10, 2014 in Newark Ohio. He was 98.
He is preceded in death by his wife Eva, sons Harold Richard Bare and Daniel Bare, granddaughter Kim Thompson, sisters Eva Zelle, Anna Dell Green, and Nadine Denman; brothers Herbert, Gale, Hansel, Buster and Dennis Bare.
He is survived by his son Michael (Sandy) Bare and his daughter Nancy (Tim) Corriveau, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and his brother James “JB” Bare.
Harold was a farmer in the Johnstown area most of his life, and also worked in construction and with the Kroger Co. warehouse. He was a member of the local union #413, and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He often donated to the United Way, and the family suggests others do the same in his memory.
