

Henry Stanton Cook, age 78, of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on September 14, 1947, in Johnstown, Ohio to the late Charles and Frances Cook.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Cook; children, Michael (Gigia Gatteri) Cook, Amanda (Jeremy) Drewry, and Andrea (Josh) Priest; son-in-law, Jack Muller; grandchildren, Joseph, Katlyn, John, Madison, Cassidy, Matthew, Alissa, Holden, Megan, and Mason; sister, Carolyn Shepherd; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in passing by his daughter, Angela Muller; sister, Mary Cook; and brother, Charles Cook. Henry was a beloved husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and a cherished friend to so many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Henry was a hardworking man, always building homes and lending a hand on the farm. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In his free time Henry loved golfing with his friends, going on hunting and camping trips, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Kyber Run Golf Course, 5261 Mink St, Johnstown, OH 43031. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Henry’s name to Reserve Care Hospice, https://reserve-care.org/.
