Hubert Benjamin Gillman

Hubert Benjamin Gillman, age 92, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1933, in Crum, West Virginia to the late, Tibitha and Grover Gillman.

Hubert retired from Borden Industries after many hardworking years as a truckdriver. He was a longtime and faithful member of the Pataskala Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder of the church. Hubert was proud to serve in his community as a long time Liberty Township trustee.

Hubert is survived by his loving sons, Rusty and Randy (Vickie) Gillman; granddaughters, Vanessa Rushmore and Regina Gillman; great-grandsons, Elijah (Leah) and Nathaniel Rushmore; siblings, Ora Lee (Eldon) Crum, Grover (Jane) Gillman Jr., and Audra (Brian) Daniels; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Hubert is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Audra Gillman; and siblings, Gobe Gillman, Paul Gillman, Bernadine Spaulding, Nora Roberts, Polly Roberts, Maxine Jones, Irene Gillman, and Ruby Perry. Hubert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am at the Pataskala Church of Christ, 9132 Blacks Rd SW, Pataskala, OH 43062, with Pastor Roger Massey officiating. A graveside service is to follow beginning at 1:00 pm at the Concord Cemetery in Johnstown.
