Jack Edward Rhyan

Jack “Bo” Edward Rhyan, age 88, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Johnstown Pointe. He was born on August 22, 1937, to the late Beryl and Candi “Eunice” Rhyan. Bo graduated from Hartford High School in 1956. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the United States Air Force. Bo retired from AEP after 44 hardworking years as a lineman. He was a longtime member of Johnstown United Methodist Church. Bo is survived in passing by his loving wife of 61 years, Emma Rhyan; daughter, Lisa (Daniel Zambory) Rhyan; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Bo is preceded in passing by his brother, John Rhyan; sisters, Mable Dietrich and Patty Shoemaker; and brothers-in-law, Philip and Lewis Butterfield. Family and friends may gather from 10:30am to 12:30pm Friday, October 3, 2025, at Johnstown United Methodist Church, 59 S Main St, Johnstown, OH 43031. A funeral service will follow beginning at 12:30pm at the church, with Pastor Matthew Van Winkle officiating. Immediately follow the funeral service, Bo will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bo’s name to the Johnstown’s Girl’s Athletic Boosters.
