Tubbs, Janice Lynn (Cathey) 1952 - 2018 A funeral service celebrating the life of Janice Lynn Tubbs (Cathey,) 66, of Johnstown, will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 6:00PM at Crouse Kauber Fraley Funeral Home in Johnstown, Ohio. Visitation will be held at the same location prior to the service from 4:00PM- 6:00PM.
Janice was born in Augusta, Georgia on August 30, 1952 to the late Herman and Rebecca (Newnam) Cathey. Janice passed away on November 25, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Janice was a devoted mother and wife and in her freetime enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, watching UNC Basketball, and spending time with her granddaughter and family. Prior to retirement, Janice was also a passionate nurse who spent more than 35 years at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. Her dedication to the nursing industry and patient care inspired family, friends, and colleagues. Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, John Tubbs, whom she married June 30, 1984; children, Sarah (James) Dodaro, Missy (Anders Storhaug) Tubbs, and Ben (Kelly) Tubbs; brother Herman (Jan) Cathey; granddaughter Rebecca Dodaro; and many much-loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
