Jeffrey Edward Banyay was born on March 11, 1967, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to John "Gary" and Nancy (Neely) Banyay. Tragically, he passed away on February 21, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. Jeffrey excelled as a multi-sport athlete at Johnstown-Monroe High School and dedicated most of his career to the insurance industry. He had a deep love for sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Family vacations to Myrtle Beach and Hocking Hills, along with golfing, brought him joy. Survived by his wife Kellie (Silvis), daughter Haley, mother Nancy, sister Lisa (Steve) Marek, brother Chris (Missy), sister-in-law Cindy (Stan) Smith, and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Gary, mother and father-in-law Carole and Wayne Silvis, and his wife's brother, Dirk. Also preceding him were his cherished dogs, Kelsey and Kayla. A memorial service for Jeffrey will take place at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031 on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Memorial visitation hours are from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Calvin Alexander officiating.
