Joan Lesalie Salmons

Joan Lesalie Salmons, age 78, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on August 10, 1947, in Logan, Ohio to the late John and Veda Bachus.

Joan was married to her loving husband of 35 years, Ted Salmons, who passed in 2004. She was a loving mother, grandma, great-grandma, and friend to many, and all of whom will miss her dearly. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Joan enjoyed going fishing, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed any chance she got to travel.

Joan is survived by her loving children; Felicia (Jeremy) Salmons and Lisa (Daniel) Hess; grandchildren, Joshua (Hannah) McClellan and Tifany Hess; great-grandchildren, Ella McClellan, and Atticus and Elias Peters; siblings, Debbie Champ and Brian (Jennifer) Bachus; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan is preceded in passing by her siblings, Veda Harris, and John Bachus.

Family and friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at Green Hill Cemetery, 7621 Johnstown-Alexandria Rd, Johnstown, OH 43031.
