Karen was such a good friend of my sister,Saundra. She was always interested in what I was up to. She stayed as long as she could involved with the church as she could by sending get well and bereavement cards. I had your dad as a principal in 7-8 grade and I was in my mom’s English class. I wouldn’t take gum out of my mouth so she called Lynn and told him he had her permission to spank me. He said, “ your mom’s an institution here so I’ll do it.” I decided I wouldn’t win this battle so I gave in and took the gum out of my mouth. Your mom always kidded me about being a trouble maker. Her wit and infectious smile are missed. I even babysat you boys as well as the Cavendish girls! I’m sorry you lost your mom. Margaret Evans Albert & Jerry Albert

Doug, Bill, and family

So many memories of your mom and growing up. There are no words that could adequately convey my thoughts at this time. One of the things that I have been told is that grief is the last gift that our loved ones give. The gift of grief means that they have given a life of love.

Doug, Bill and families —— We will certainly miss Karen. She was a positive presence in our community and always asked how everyone was doing in our own family. She loved her Johnnie sports! Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the days ahead.
