May 3, 1927 – November 6, 2011
Kathryn “Kitty” (Heide). Nolen 84, formerly of Montoursville, PA passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Johnstown, OH. She is now and forever with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because she rested her faith on His glorious person and His perfect work. Kitty blessed this earth on May 3, 1927 in Lancaster, PA to the late George and Dorothy (Blair) Heide. She graduated from Hershey Junior College with honors, having attended Hershey Junior College under certificate of outstanding scholarship. It was there she met Dale who was attending there under the GI Bill; thus starting their 64 year love affair. Kitty’s incredible organization, versatility, and adaptability were possibly best seen through her shrewd ability to assist Dale in countless ways, ably setting and then achieving their mutual goals. She set personal and career goals aside to dedicate her life to the accomplishments of her husband and children. She enjoyed the rivalry between her alma-mater, Hershey High School and Dale’s alma-mater Hershey Industrial School. She loved the OSU Buckeyes and never missed a game. Kitty kept up with technology and enjoyed going online to keep in touch with family and friends. Kitty most importantly was a devoted wife, soul mate, loving mother and faithful friend. Her love leaves memories that no one can steal. Kitty is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Dale Lewis Nolen; her children; Kathleen Louise (Bruce) Hannah of Wilmington, NC, Patricia Lee (Andy) Nolen-Parkhouse of Monson, MA, James Michael (Sandy) Nolen of Johnstown, OH; grandchildren; John Christopher (Jess) Hannah , David James Hannah, Matthew Jared (Erika) Nolen-Parkhouse, Landon Boggs Nolen , Hannah Elizabeth Nolen, and Emily Kathryn Nolen, great-granddaughter Kaileena, along with numerous friends who loved her dearly.
Along with her parents Kitty is preceded in death by a brother George Heide.
