WILLIAMS, Kermit D., 74, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. He was born December 14, 1943 in Artie, WV to the late Carson G. and Arbutus E. (Buttrick) Williams. Kermit married his high school sweetheart, Patricia L. (Thompson) Williams, and worked many years as a heavy equipment operator for Ohio International Union of Operating Engineers.
During his lifetime, Kermit embraced his family and community with his caring and generous heart. He was a compassionate family man with his own unique sense of humor. Kermit enjoyed watching Nascar events and was loyal in rooting for his Johnstown High School teams many Friday nights.
Kermit will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia “Pat” Williams; son, Arnie (Kimberly) Williams; daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Mischel; grandchildren, Robert Dale (Fabiana) Williams, Delania Williams and Peyton Mischel; siblings, Gloria “Tot” (Larry) Dillon, Roger Williams and Marjorie (Billy Joe) Farley; many nieces, nephews and beloved relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 North Main Street in Johnstown. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 10, 2018 at GREEN HILL CEMETERY on Route 37 in Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for their planned donation to honor Kermit’s love and support for the Johnstown High School football program.
