Lena Ruth Pruitt

Lena Ruth Pruitt entered into the Eternal Kingdom to be with God and her many loved ones on June 2, 2026. Lena was born on May 20, 1941, to Eugene and Nancy Ann Pruitt. Even though she spent her adult life in Ohio, she never lost her love for her beautiful West Virginia. In her heart, she was always a Wayne West Virginia High School Pioneer, Class of 1960.

Lena leaves behind a large family that she cherished including her children Dempsy Jr. (Peggy), Chris (Ray) and Sheila. She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren, Anthony, Eric, Ashley, Landon (Liberty), Joshua (Lauren), Christian and Morgan; and her eight great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Jordan, Nathan, Aiden, Serenity, Emma, Finnegan and Stevie.

Lena was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Ann, seven siblings and many loved ones.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life from 12:00-1:00 P.M. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, Ohio, Pastor Tim Burden will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite charity in Lena’s name.
