LeRoy E. Thacker, 84, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away June 8, 2021. LeRoy was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gladys; sister, Betty Van Keuren and sister-in-law, Annie. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha; son, Todd (Annmarie); daughter, Colleen (Richard) Vicroy; grandchildren, Hannah (Kody) Doyle and Ryan Thacker; step-grandson, Tony Vicroy; siblings, Helen (Bill) Christensen, Bob and Barb Remley and many nieces and nephews and close friends. LeRoy retired after 31 years from Tech International. He was a partner in business with Munson Machine Company. He was a member of Central Ohio Tug Pullers, Buckeye Vintage Haulers, and the Johnstown United Methodist Church. LeRoy enjoyed golf and collecting tractors. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Van Winkle officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Johnstown United Methodist Church for dome repairs. 159 S. Main Street, Johnstown, Ohio 43031.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I just discovered tonight that LeRoy had passed away. He was a good man, kind and gentle, a wonderful neighbor, and a much cherished friend of my parents. Martha, Todd and Colleen, if there is anything I can do for you, as you so graciously helped me when my parents passed, please don’t hesitate to let me know. May the Lord comfort you in this time of great sorrow. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Ralph and I are so sorry for your loss. I was blessed with wonderful aunts and uncles. We will miss Uncle LeRoy, but he will always be in our hearts. Love you all!
