Lynn Alan Salser, 67, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away June 23, 2021 at St. Ann’s Hospital. He was born April 15, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Giles and Elizabeth Salser. Lynn is survived by his brother Craig (Debbie) Salser of Middletown, Ohio; sister Sue Overholt of Johnstown, Ohio; nephews Martin (Mariah) Overholt of Sioux City, Iowa and Marshall (Mickayla) Overholt of Big Prairie, Ohio; nieces Elizabeth (AJ) Helterbrand of Millersburg, Ohio, Molly Salser of Middletown, Ohio, and Margo (Nathan) Long of Waldo, Ohio; grand-nephews Miles Overholt, Liam, Mason, and Colby Long; grand-niece McKenzie Overholt; and a host of other family friends and loved ones. He was a 1972 graduate of Johnstown Monroe High School, and a member of the 1970 undefeated Johnstown football team. Lynn received a bachelor’s degree in 1976 from Otterbein College. He grew up attending the Johnstown United Methodist Church. Lynn was a member of the Johnstown Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. He retired after 43 years from Tech International. Lynn loved all sports especially the Johnstown Johnnies, Ohio State Buckeyes, a diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians, and had a love hate relationship with the Cleveland Cavaliers. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00pm Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Johnstown United Methodist Church, 159 S Main St, Johnstown, OH 43031, with calling hours prior from 11:00am-12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Johnstown United Methodist Church for dome reconstruction, 159 S Main St, Johnstown, OH 43031 or to the Johnstown Athletic Boosters, 445 S Main St, Johnstown, OH 43031.
