Marilyn Alice Ashbrook

Funeral services will be on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Johnstown, OH. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, Ohio.

Marilyn was born on January 27, 1936, to the late Rollin and Vieda Woodland and is preceded in death by husband Lee, brothers Richard and Jack, sisters Shirley and Jane.

Survived by David (Lori) Goedeking; Emily and Sam; Dianna (Barry) Boche, sisters-in-law Martha (Leroy) Thacker, Suzanne (Jack) Pitzer and beloved nieces and nephews in Columbus, South Carolina and Johnstown, Ohio. She is also survived by her friend and caregiver, Shawnette Samuel, and many friends in Gahanna.

Special thanks to Capital City Hospice for the wonderful care given and especially to the Inn at Winchester Trails Assisted Living for the care, understanding and love given to Marilyn.

A retiree from Gahanna City Schools and a graduate of Linden McKinley High School, Marilyn will be remembered for her fun and funny disposition and her sweet, gentle kindness to her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Capital City Hospice in Marilyn’s name.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with graveside burial immediately following.
