Mattie’s daughter Jo is my bestie and has been since we were 11, I spent a lot of time including many nights at the Gibson house, so I have many memories of Mattie ♥️. She always welcomed me and treated me like family.
As she got older and I would visit her, I loved it when I would get her to talk about her life as a little girl and a young woman. She would perk right up and you could tell the joy it brought her just talking about the good ole days.
I love you Mattie xo

"Betty G" was my grandmother, was incredibly strong, had a huge heart, and loving soul.

From her I learned that you can't indulge too much in life's pleasures and in the event that you did let it get the best of you, you can still overcome it. For that I am forever thankful.

From doing inspections at country view and sliding down the hall to say hi, Betty Lou to see her face always made me smile. From pool parties at tuckers she was always my favorite swim partner! Traveling to Loretta’s in Michigan to get her a chair with Johnny a great trip. She always made me feel like one of her own. You will be dearly missed Betty Lou, You will always be in my heart forever, sure do love you and will miss you Betty Lou R.i.p.
