Pamela Joy Adams

Pamela Joy Adams, 82, of Westerville, left for Heaven on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 from Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born on November 19, 1938 in Cheshire, England, the only child of the late Claude and Marion (Southwood) Bennett. Pamela graduated from The Bible College of Wales in Swansea, South Wales and subsequently graduated from the Liverpool Royal Infirmary nursing school in 1961. Pamela and her husband William spent ten years in South Korea serving as Christian missionaries. Her missionary service included being the charge nurse at Seoul Receiving Hospital and she bore responsibility for triage and initial care of orphaned and abandoned Korean children. Following their missionary service, Pamela and William moved to the United States in 1978 and she carried out a full career in the U.S. as a registered nurse and a midwife. She spent many years serving others in traditional healthcare and in various wellness disciplines. Pamela loved animals and rescued many of them in her lifetime. Most of all she adored her five granddaughters and was known to all of them as Nana. Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William Adams; children, Fiona (Peter) Beckwith and Stewart (Grey) Adams and five granddaughters, Lauren Beckwith (20), Nikki Beckwith (18), Maya Adams (16), Zoie Adams (11), and Gracie Adams (9). In addition to her parents, Pamela is preceded in death by her infant son, Jonathan Adams. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031
