“Penny” Velma Jo Hawkins 46, of Johnstown, OH passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Family will receive friends at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home 225 N. Main St., Johnstown on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 4 to 7 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 7 pm.
Penny was born in Columbus, OH to the late David and Velma (Davidson) Hawkins. Penny worked for 20 years at the Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center. She volunteered her time at the Johnstown Community Thrift Store. Penny enjoyed and had a vast collection of dolphins.
Penny is survived by her daughter Miranda Hawkins, siblings, Mary Y. Moore, Ronald J. DePouw Jr., Kathleen (Bob) Wilson, William (Diane) DePouw, Cindy (Dave Geiger) Barnett along with nieces, nephews and many good friends.
