

Rosemary Smithson, 94, of Johnstown, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at her residence. She was born on July 21, 1930 in Columbus, OH, a daughter to the late Gordon and Florence Denson. Rosemary married the love of her life James W. Smithson on January 1, 1950. She is survived by loving daughter, Valerie (Rick) Stewart; grandchildren, Naomi (Tommy) Eisnaugle, Nikki (Jesse) Eisnaugle and T.J. (Amy) Stewart; great-grandchildren, Thomas (Haylee) Judd, Brandon Judd, Delaney and Landon Stewart; great-great-grandchildren, Rylan Judd, Kenslie and Madalyn Judd. In addition to her parents, Rosemary is also preceded in death by her husband, James Smithson; daughter, Vanessa and son-in-law, Danny. She enjoyed antiquing for many years, traveling, reading and spending time with her cherished family and many, many friends. Rosemary never turned down an opportunity to try anything, she had an adventurous spirit. She held part-time jobs well into her 80’s, and volunteered for the last 10 years of her life at the Johnstown Northridge food pantry. Rosemary will be dearly missed by everyone.
