

Ruth was born on February 13, 1922, in Columbus to the late Walter and Aldine (Collins) Wittman. She passed on Sunday March 2, 2014 at Mt Carmel Medical Center. She was 92.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Krumm, daughter Sandy and her husband Bill Schirtzinger, son in law Lewis Houck, and son Harold (Mickey) Krumm.
Ruth is survived by her children Mary Jane Houck of Centerburg, Betty (Burdette) Garee of Johnstown, Margie (Allan) Bemiller of Pataskala, Charles (Linda) Krumm of Powell, John (Sandra) Krumm of Granville, her sister Vera Hobbs of Pataskala; 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Krumm was the coordinator for the Johnstown-Northridge Food Pantry. She cared for foster children, helped with Adopt A Family, volunteered and cooked for Ascension Church and was also Head of The Women’s Council. She was also a Northridge Music Booster, won numerous awards for her volunteerism, and was the 1993 Woman of the Year for the Catholic Diocese of Columbus. She collected hand bells, loved to be with her family, and she cherished responsibilities of caring for families that were in need in the area.
Friends may call at the Crouse-Kauber Sammons Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friends may contribute to the Johnstown Food Pantry in her memory
