Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, on March 10, 1961, Stephen proudly served his country in the Canadian Armed Forces. Following his service, he moved to the United States, where on June 26, 2010, he married the love of his life, Rebecca (Piccin). Together, they built a beautiful life, first in Pickerington, Ohio, then in Cumming, Georgia, before settling in Johnstown in 2021. Their greatest joy came from raising their two children, Stella (11) and Roscoe “RJ” (7), who were the light of Stephen’s life. Known for his warm heart, contagious smile, and unforgettable dimples, he poured his love into his family and cherished every moment with them.
Stephen was a dedicated and respected employee of Barco, Inc., admired for his hard work, integrity, and positive spirit.
He is welcomed into eternal rest by his father, Albert Roscoe Cook. He is survived by his beloved wife Rebecca, their two precious children, his devoted mother Christina Cook, and his brothers: Jack Cook, William (Chris) Cook, Jim (Chrystal) Cook, and Don (Yasko) Cook. Stephen was also a proud and loving uncle to Jim’s children, Jacob and Emma, as well as to Rebecca’s nieces, Sofia Morant and Natalie Johnson, daughters of her sister, Theresa.
Stephen’s legacy is one of kindness, service, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be remembered always and deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations made in Stephen’s name as an extra contribution to your church. For those wishing to offer additional support, gift cards are appreciated to help meet the family’s needs during this time.
A celebration of life for Stephen will be held Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Gather, 12 S Main St, Johnstown, Ohio 43031.
