Virgie Faye Meade, 89, of Johnstown, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Otterbein Senior Living. She was born on June 12, 1936 in Fort Gay, WV, a daughter to the late Arthur and Bertha (Gibson) Winchell. Virgie is survived by her loving children, Diane (Mike) Brown, Ileda Faye (Tim) Marshall, Charles (Marjo) Meade and Billy Joe (Beth) Meade; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Vernon Winchell, Virgil Winchell, Clyde Winchell, Alpha Mae, Lucille Vaughn, Ray Winchell, Mary Frasher, Shirley Johnson and Chester A. Winchell. Friends and family may call from 12 – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Amery Brenley officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital City Hospice in Virgie's memory.
