Walter “Dave” David Kinser, 85, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born on March 28, 1940, in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Manuella and Ralph Kinser.
Dave was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was an intelligent and innovative man, using his skills as a machinist and fabricator for B.F. Goodrich, Process Bonding, and National Sign. Dave enjoyed designing new operations and machines to ease people’s jobs and lives. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, foraging for mushrooms, tending to his garden, and woodworking.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Samantha Kinser who he married in June of 1965; nieces and nephews, Brenda Foor-Donaldson, Becky Foor-Burns, Mike Foor, Jerry Kinser, Gary Kinser, Ricky Kinser, Mark Rader, and Matt Rader; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Dave is preceded in passing by his siblings, Phyllis Kinser-Foor, Wendell Kinser, and Peggy Kinser-Rader.
Honoring Dave’s wishes, cremation is to take place. Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with the arrangements.
