

William “Bill” Allen McNerney went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2023. Bill was born December 12, 1940 to the late John and Lois McNerney. He was preceeded in death by his parents and his brother John McNerney. William was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather,Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years (together all of 67 years), Linda Lou (Bope) McNerney, Brother Michael (Debbie) McNerney, Sister-In-Law Julie (Dave) Hudgins, Aunt Glenna King, his beloved Children Dan McNerney, Kass McNerney Salamone, Marjiorie (Keith) Collins, John (Mindy) McNerney. His beloved GrandChildren Zac (Amber) Collins, John (Beth) Williamson, Anthony Salamone, Kayla Collins, Briana (Trevor) Berry, Kori Collins, Gabrielle Salamone, Danielle (Hayden) Warner, Alyssa McNerney, Katie Collins, Leah McNerney. His beloved Great Grandchildren Seth Collins, Alex Collins, Ava Calderone, Brooklyn Berry, Annabelle Berry, Eldon Williamson, Ada Williamson, Kealan Cook, Hudson Williamson, and Isla Warner. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill served his Country as a U.S. Marine. He was a member of good standing at the Linden Lodge #637. Bill was a conservative and loved his Country. Bill loved his wife and family above all else and his family held him in the highest regard with love and respect. He taught his family right from wrong and instilled the importance of loving and caring for one another, His family is his beautiful legacy and he was very very proud of them all. The love he gave to his family and the many life lessons he so willingly shared will live on in them. His family knew without a doubt how much he loved them. His counsel, advice and his warm all-encompassing hugs will be so very missed.
Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Alexandria Church of Christ, 5380 Moots Run Rd., Alexandria, OH 43001. A memorial service honoring William will follow at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Church with Pastor Kevin Hull officiating. Please bring your memories to share with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in William's honor to Hospice of Central Ohio.
