Albert Kelly was born December 18, 1933, in Dayton, Tennessee, to the late B.B. and Christine Kelley. On September 29, 2025, Kelley peacefully left this world from his home, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife, Martha.
After finishing school, Kelley enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving four years and earning the rank of Staff Sergeant, a title he wore with honor. When his military days were done, he put his hands to work as a master mechanic, running his own shop. Eventually, he decided he was tired of being under the hood and would rather be behind the wheel. That led him to Action Limo, where he chauffeured for 25 years, always with a story to tell and a smile to share.
For many years, Kelley lived life as a single man. But when he met Martha, everything changed. He knew she was “the one,” and in 1977, they tied the knot. For nearly 50 years, they built a life full of laughter, adventures, and love.
Kelley had a need for speed, especially on two wheels. He was a Harley man through and through, and if you couldn’t find him at home or at work, you’d find him on his red Harley, letting the wind do its thing with his hair. He loved meeting people, and he never just learned your name, he wanted to know your story. He was funny, loving, and, as Martha would say, her “big teddy bear.”
Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, B.B. and Christine; his daughter; Annie, 2 brothers Harold and Tommy; and 3 sisters Reba, Roberta, and Jean.
His memory will be cherished by his wife of nearly 50 years, Martha; his children Al (Laurie) Kelley and Elaine (Tom) Post; his 7 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
“Oh me… Kelley, we’re going to miss you!”
