He was born to the late James W. Mize and Hazel P. Potts in Atlanta, GA on May 5, 1943.
He was affectionately known as "LolliPop" by one of his great grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter; Lisa Ross, his grandchildren; Joshua (Jennifer) Myers and Justin (Geneva) Ross, his great grandchildren; Layla Ross, Persephone Petersen, Colby Myers, Alena Brown, Scarlette Dollar, Chelsey Dollar, Josh Myers Jr., Donnie Ray Allen and Brandi Myers and his nieces; Tonya Mize and Shela Selizer
