PFC Anthony Jamari Freeman

Private First Class (PFC) Anthony J. Freeman, 20, died peacefully on October 24, 2018. A soldier of the US Army, he proudly served his country.
PFC Freeman was born on May 5,1998 in Atlanta, GA to Dexter Freeman and Princess Millens. In 2016, he joined the armed forces and was assigned to the basic training site, B Co, 1st Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. After graduating from advanced individual training in November 2016 at A Co, 58th Transportation Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, he was assigned to the 47th Transportation Company,142nd Corps Sustainment Support Battalion at Fort Bliss, Texas, where he has served as a Motor Transport Operator (88M). He recently returned from a tour of duty in Poland. PFC Freeman graduated from Lovejoy High School, Hampton GA in May 2016, where he joined the marching band and played the trombone and baritone. He was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a kind and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
PFC Freeman is survived by his mother, Princess Millens; his father, Dexter Freeman; his sisters, DeAndrea and Ayanna; his grandfathers, Willie M. Millens and Joseph Freeman, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A visitation/viewing will take place at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave. Jonesboro, GA 30236 on November 6, 2018 from 4pm-8pm (Family will be present from 7pm-8pm). Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11am at Tara Garden Chapel with the burial immediately following at Kennedy Memorial Garden in Decatur, GA.
