Charles Frederick Walters Sr.

Mr. Charles Frederick Walters, Sr. passed away December 29, 2010. Mr. Walters was born Apri 19, 1927. Mr. Walters was a US Army veteran of World War II, retired from General Motors, he loved Blue Grass Gospel Music and he was a member of the Lakewood County Boys Singers. Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his parents:Charles B. Walters and Odie Lee McKinney Walters. He is survived by a son:Charles F. "Ricky" Walters, Jr., 2 daughters: Regina Walters Derringer and April C. Watt and her husband David, grandchildren: Zack Blish, Christopher Watt, Vandy Watt, Brian Blish, Noah Watt and Amber Reyna,8 great grandchildren, his Little Buddy Elijah Nixon and 2 sisters: Dixie Lieb and Maxine Stallings. Funeral services for Mr. Walters will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 in the Tara Graden Chapel with Rev. Vandy S. Pope and Rev. David T. Scott officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Lamar Memory Gardens in Barnesville, Georgia will Military Honors given to Mr. Walters. The family of Mr. Walters will recieve friends at the Tara Gardens Chapel on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m.
