Meechie was called home on March 5, 2012 in Atlanta, GA. Meechie attended the New York City Public School system and later worked for New York City's Coney Island Hospital. In 1997, Meechie moved to Atlanta, GA and proudly made Jonesboro, GA his home. Meechie was employed by the city of Jonesboro until his untimely death.
Meechie attended Changing a Generation Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr. Meechie touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his trademark sense of humor up to the very end.
Demetrius "Meechie" Mosley, beloved son of the late Henry Mosley and Armentha Mosley will forever be remembered by his four daughters Amentha E. Mosley-Hamilton, Corrine Williams, Nadina Mosley, and Yolanda Mosley. Grandchildren: Lewis Cruz, Twins Lataura and Lataurus Cruz, Promise Hamilton, and Jasiere Williams.
Sister: Michele Mosley, Niece: Meyosha Mosley-Stroud and his devoted Fiance Lynda Epps. Meechie is also survived by Aunts: Betty Carpenter, Virginia Mosley, and Uncle: Audrey Jones, Son in-law: Darius Hamilton, Nephew in-law: Shaun Stroud and a host of relatives and friends.
Armentha Mosley will always remember her adored son marching to the beat of his own drum. Meechie was a father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend who impacted the lives of many. Michele Mosley will cherish the memory of her brother’s laughter and the joy he has brought into the lives of so many.
