Evelio H. Delgado 80 passed away December 6, 2012 at home after a long illness. Mr. Delgado retired from the Atlanta Marriott Marquis after 21 years of service as a professional painter. Evelio came to this country from Cuba in 1967. He was most proud of becoming an American citizen in 2005. He is survived by his only son Evelio S. Delgado (Petrina A. Delgado) of McDonough, GA and a sister in Cuba along with several nieces in Florida. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel located at 681 North Avenue, Jonesboro, Georgia. Internment will immediately follow in Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on the day of service at 10:00 AM.
