I first met George at J C Penney where we both worked. My first impression of him was that he was a Christian man, and he spoke of his family often. I also noticed  that he was a very opinionated man. He had a lot of good qualities.  It wasn't until I started going to Morrow Church of God that I met the real George Bishop. Very dedicated church going man, and faithful in all his endeavors where the church and God were concerned. I was impressed because I know he raised his family to serve God. I became close friends with him and his family, Cindy and Dane, I express my deepest condolences to the family and know that my heart is with you all. God Bless You

My mom, my sisters, and I came into the Bishop family a little later than the traditional way. George always treated us like one of his own. He came to every birthday, family gathering, and was there whenever his family needed him. He was very much a family man who he enjoyed spending his time with. Our family that he leaves behind will always remember his dedication to the Lord and his family. I will always be grateful for the compassion he gave to us for excepting us into the family. I love you Bishop Family very much!

I wrote once but it didn't show  up.   George was my wonderful prayer
 friend. I could call him and he would pray for me over the phone. He was one of the finest men I ever met. I told him recently that I was taking one day at a time and he started singing it to me over the phone.  We had some good times and he always called me "Baby Joyce."   Dane, Cindi, Mavis and families  you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  I know you all will miss him, as well as myself.  God Bless you.       Joyce

George was a faithfull man of God! Faithfullness and self discipline go hand in hand. George impressed me with both of these qualities.
It reflected in his children and there lives as a reminder of what there Dad exemplified.
  Old school , a lost art these days is "a mans word is his bond" back then all a man had to do was verbalize his promise and a strong hand shake. George was a man of his word he was allways there at every family gathering to watch celibration of life and every funeral to watch loved ones and friends as they passed on to heaven.
  Now its his turn for those of us left behind to pay our honor to a man well deserving of respect. I pray the memories of my father n law  never be forgotten. He once said" I hope people remember me in a good way" That day is today indeed we will never forget you George Bishop! Your blood line lives on and one day we will worship Jesus all together.
